Itinerary: 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga :

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

Begin your 4 days Marrakech desert tour with an early morning pickup from your hotel. We drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass. The road climbs to 2,260 meters above sea level. You will see mountain villages and green valleys along the way.

We stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah. This ancient village was built along the old caravan route. Many famous films were shot here. You can walk through the narrow streets and climb to the top for views of the valley.

After lunch, we continue through the Valley of Roses and the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. The landscape changes from green to dry and rocky. We arrive in Dades Valley in the late afternoon. You will stay in a comfortable guesthouse with views of the valley. Dinner is served at the hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Canyon – Merzouga desert

After breakfast, we leave Dades Valley and head toward the desert. The first stop is Todra Gorge, where high canyon walls rise on both sides of the river. You can walk along the river and feel the cool air between the rocks.

We continue through small towns like Erfoud and Rissani. Rissani is known for its traditional market and dates. The road becomes flat and sandy as we approach the desert.

We arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, you meet your camel caravan. You ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun begins to set. The dunes glow orange and red in the evening light. After about one hour, you reach the Berber desert camp.

At the camp, you enjoy Moroccan dinner around the fire. Local musicians play drums and sing traditional songs. You sleep in a private tent under the stars.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. You ride camels back to Merzouga village and have breakfast at the hotel. The rest of the day is free time.

You can relax by the pool or explore the desert area. Optional activities include quad biking, buggy rides, or visiting nearby villages. These activities are not included in the tour price.

In the evening, you return to your hotel in Merzouga. Dinner is served at the hotel.

Day 4 : Merzouga to Marrakech

After breakfast, we begin the drive back to Marrakech. This is a long day with about 9 hours of travel. We stop in Ouarzazate for lunch. You can visit the film studios if time allows.

We cross the High Atlas Mountains again and arrive in Marrakech around 7:00 PM. We drop you at your hotel or riad. This marks the end of your 4 days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour.
